Physical space required when setting up a branch or subsidiary company in Belgium
In practice, Belgium no longer allows the use of virtual offices when starting operations in that country.
Physical space is to be leased, which space effectively allows for the execution of the company’s operations at such location. Not wanting, or not maintaining, a bank account with a Belgian bank may also cause problems, in case of VAT refunds by Belgian tax authorities.
