Physical space required when setting up a branch or subsidiary company in Belgium

In practice, Belgium no longer allows the use of virtual offices when starting operations in that country.

Physical space is to be leased, which space effectively allows for the execution of the company’s operations at such location. Not wanting, or not maintaining, a bank account with a Belgian bank may also cause problems, in case of VAT refunds by Belgian tax authorities. Furthermore, foreigners need to keep in mind that they will need to provide legalized/apostilled documents in re. the foreign parent company, even if it involves an EU parent.

Van Velzen C.S. offers solutions to lease such space in a cost-efficient way and facilitates the set-up of branches and entities in Belgium.
